Essential qualifications:

 i) Master‟s Degree Library Science / Information Science /

Documentation Science or equivalent with at least 55% marks (or

an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is

followed)and a consistently good academic record with knowledge

of computerized library science.

ii) Qualifying in the National level test such as NET/SLET/SET

conducted for the purposed by the UGC or any other agency

approved by the UGC.

B. Desirable:

 PG Diploma in Library Automation and Networking or Post

Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications or equivalent or higher

degre
